Wrigley's Extra - Mint Chocolate Chip
I love mint chocolate chip ice cream and mint sugarfree gum, so you'd think this would be an instant hit, but I found the flavor didn't last long enough for me and after that, it's a chewy piece of plastic.
In contrast, my snacking cohort #1 thinks "it's good, it really tastes like dessert."
Since I know I can't always trust my own gut reaction to speak for the masses, I gave a stick to my test bee assistant.
The reaction: "Yum! ... I can taste the difference (between mint chocolate chip ice cream and regular mint flavor) ... The chocolate taste lingers. ... You should have given it to me without telling me what it was!"

Shelly senbei.
Shelly Senbei, Japanese style rice crackers. My mother has been buying these lately, and I've always liked their airy texture, sugary glaze and salty crispness. If I only had a nice big mug of green tea at the time to go with these. Note that they contain MSG and are a product of Taiwan.

Keebler Club & Cheddar crackers.
I expected much less and was ready to toss the packet after the first nibble, but it's surprisingly good and not overly salted. In my mind, this is such a simple snack that it requires the best out of its parts. The crackers have a excellent texture between saltines and soda crackers, and the cheese is an inoffensive real cheddar.

Available at Fisher Hawaii, 450 Cooke Street in Kakaako.
Cost: 89 cents buys two packets, far cheaper than the office vending machine.
Nothing like jumping straight into the water.
Welcome to the inaugural post of Bit Peckish, which is nothing but a record of snacks and drinks that I have consumed when feeling a bit peckish. I plan to update at least once or twice a week and see how that goes.
